Immediate Morganton & Burke County Communities
Our closest service zones with fastest same-day estimate response and immediate emergency dispatch.

Burke County, NC
RAM Tree Service's home county: South Mountains, Linville Gorge and Lake James woodlands meet I-40 towns, and Hurricane Helene (Sept 2024) left storm-weakened oaks and pines countywide.

Valdese, NC
Founded by Waldensian settlers from Italy's Cottian Alps in 1893; mill-era homes and church grounds along Main Street carry century-old hardwoods that need careful pruning rather than topping.

Salem, NC
Unincorporated community on Morganton's southern edge where mid-century ranch homes sit under mature oaks and tulip poplars that now overtop their roofs.

Nebo, NC
Lake James community in McDowell County next to Lake James State Park, where steep shoreline lots grow pines that lean toward the water, docks and cabins.

Drexel, NC
Former furniture-mill town east of Morganton (birthplace of Drexel Furniture) where mill-village houses sit close together and large trees overhang neighboring roofs and service lines.

Glen Alpine, NC
Small town between Morganton and Lake James on the I-40/US-70 corridor where older homes sit on wooded lots backing onto South Mountains foothill forest — the closest town to our Old Hickory Tree Rd base.
Surrounding Foothill Hubs & Key Mountain Towns
Major cities and scenic communities regularly scheduled for climbing removals, vista clearing, and emergency response.

Hickory, NC
Largest city in the region on Lake Hickory; older districts such as Oakwood have dense, mature canopies over closely spaced homes, so most removals here are rigged down near houses.

Lenoir, NC
Caldwell County seat beneath Hibriten Mountain at the foot of the Blue Ridge; furniture-era neighborhoods have big oaks exposed to foothill ice storms.

Black Mountain, NC
Swannanoa Valley town at the foot of the Seven Sisters ridge; Helene's 2024 winds and floods hit the valley hard, and steep lots limit equipment access.

Marion, NC
McDowell County seat at the foot of the Blue Ridge, where older in-town neighborhoods carry large oaks and the Catawba River corridor flooded during Helene in 2024.

Forest City, NC
Rutherford County's largest town, known for its Main Street holiday lights, with older neighborhoods of large oaks and pines plus new US-74 corridor development.

Long View, NC
Town straddling the Burke–Catawba line west of Hickory, with post-war bungalows and ranch homes on narrow lots under mature hardwoods near I-40.

Sawmills, NC
Caldwell County town on the north shore of Lake Rhodhiss, with lakefront and creekside lots where trees lean toward the water.

Regional environmental, soil, and storm resilience factors specific to each county we serve.
Additional Foothill & Mountain Communities
Our mobile climbing crews regularly dispatch across Western North Carolina for planned removals, technical rigging, and emergency tree work.

Sherrills Ford, NC
West-shore Lake Norman community (counted by the Census as Lake Norman of Catawba CDP, which also covers Terrell) where lakefront trees lean over docks and Duke Energy shoreline rules apply.

Fletcher, NC
Henderson County town by Asheville Regional Airport and the WNC Agricultural Center, growing fast with new subdivisions on former farmland.

Mills River, NC
Henderson County town on French Broad River farmland (home of a large Sierra Nevada brewery) with new subdivisions between orchards and fields.

Dallas, NC
Gaston County's original county seat with a historic courthouse square and mature neighborhood canopy.

East Flat Rock, NC
Henderson County community along US-176 near Flat Rock, with older mill-era housing and wooded lots.

Bessemer City, NC
Gaston County town at the foot of Crowders Mountain with mill-era housing and wooded lots.

Westport, NC
Lincoln County golf and lakefront community on Lake Norman's west shore, with waterfront lots and tall pines near homes.

Weaverville, NC
Historic Main Street town north of Asheville on I-26, with older homes and new subdivisions on wooded hills.

Troutman, NC
Iredell town beside Lake Norman State Park, growing rapidly with new subdivisions cut from woodland.

Denver, NC
Lake Norman west-shore community along NC-16 where rapid lake-area growth means lot clearing and shoreline tree work.

Taylorsville, NC
Alexander County seat at the foot of the Brushy Mountains, with rural acreage, orchards and older in-town homes.

Burnsville, NC
Yancey County seat in sight of Mount Mitchell, with town-square homes and steep wooded properties along the Cane River valley.

Blowing Rock, NC
Blue Ridge Parkway resort town above 3,500 ft where second homes sit under old hemlocks and many HOA communities require approval for tree work.

Banner Elk, NC
Ski town between Sugar and Beech Mountains, home to Lees-McRae College, where heavy rime ice and snow break evergreen limbs.

“We are extremely pleased with RAM Tree Service LLC. After Hurricane Helene, we had a very dangerous situation where a huge tree twisted at its base and partially fell over our 103 year old house in Montreat, NC., resting precariously in another tree. Due to the high slope, using bucket trucks and/or cranes was not an option. RAM Tree Service LLC was the only company who considered taking the job. Ron Martin climbed the tree and Buddy was on the ground. Using a system of pulleys and ropes, Ron and Buddy dismantled the tree without causing any damage to the house. In addition, they were professional, respectful, reliable, reasonable and communicated with us continually.”
“Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Feedback means so much from our customers! It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and working with you on this hazardous project.”

“We called Ram Tree Service based on previous Google Reviews and we couldn't be happier! This company is the one that you want to use to have your trees trimmed or removed. Ron is a tree climbing professional - that means no heavy equipment tearing up your yard. He topped and dropped 5 trees on our property (and took down 3 more) - dropping each of them safely without damaging our fence line, house, or stone retaining wall. They chipped the tree limbs, cleaned up the yard, and left no sign that they had ever been on site. Highly recommended.”
“Thanks for the detailed review! These reviews are very important to us.”

“I HAVE had Ron take down two very large trees over 50 ft, on my rental properties in Charlotte in the last two years..these were huge trees, the last one tree trunk measured over 4 feet across...Ron does an excellent job and is very conscious about being careful of the property around the tree he is working on...He takes his time and uses his years of experience to carefully-"important word" carefully take down each limb which he ropes and lowers with the help of workers on the ground...I trust him and his people implicitly. He is very respectful and removes the debris from the tree and cleans up after all the tree removal...I would highly recommend Ron to anyone considering tree removal or tree trimming and pruning.”

“Cat Rescue! We have a cat that we are temporarily fostering. She decided to climb 30 feet or more up a big pine tree. People kept telling us that we shouldn't worry she will come down on her own. After 4 days and some cold nights we realized that she was getting weak and had no intentions of coming down. So early on a Sunday morning I contacted RAM Tree service and asked if they could climb a tree to rescue the cat. They graciously agreed to help us out and were at my home in less than an hour. It was quite a sight watching him climb the ropes on a nearby tree and swinging over into the pine tree to rescue the cat. In an hour's time they had completed the task. They are an extremely nice couple who went above and beyond to help us out.”
“Thank you so much for the gracious review. We hope kitty is doing well and finds her forever home soon!”

“What a great tree person. An absolute easy experience. I was worried about the size of my trees(huge) and the electric line in the path of removing the tree as well as it's 10 feet from the side of my home. They were able to do everything promised and more.”
“Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your kind words!! People like you make it easy to do what we do!”

“Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Feedback means so much from our customers! It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and working with you.”
